Every MLB stadium ranked from worst to best

3. Yankee Stadium — New York Yankees
Utter the two words “Yankee Stadium,” and a plethora of baseball history begins to flood the conversation.
Yankee Stadium has been a fixture of The Bronx for decades, and the historic venue has seen numerous moments of baseball magic and winning by the home town team, the New York Yankees. Now, most of that pertains to the old Yankee Stadium, as the Yankees of today play in the New Yankee Stadium, which lays on the hallowed grounds of the old ballpark.
That is why Yankee Stadium sits at No. 3.
If the Yankees were playing at the old Yankee Stadium, there would be no doubt that it would either claim the top spot or slide in at No. 2. While the new Yankee Stadium contains more modern amenities for a new group of Yankee fans, and the team that occupies the new venue has seen consistent success on the field, there is just something about the new Yankee Stadium that appears off, and we think we know what it is.
It does not have the same history.
The old Yankee Stadium was oozing with history and historic players. The new Yankee Stadium appears like an attempt at cashing in on the dying years of the “retro” stadium movement, and while they tried to mimic the old ballpark on feel, there was no way they could replace its history.
Having said that, modern Yankee Stadium is a great ballpark and has the potential to make history on its own.
