Week 11: Nov. 9 – LSU at Alabama

Death, taxes and LSU-Alabama being a College GameDay spot. The Tigers and Bama will do battle in Tuscaloosa in early November. This game always coincides well with the College Football Playoff rankings and its one that’s going to have a big return for the winner.

Assuming Ed Orgeron’s squad’s finish to last season wasn’t a fluke, the Tigers are going to be a force in the SEC West this year. They’ve let Alabama get the better of them in this rivalry lately, but this is still always going to be must-see TV.

LSU hasn’t defeated Alabama since a 9-6 win in Tuscaloosa back in 2011. The Tide, of course, would go on to get their revenge over the Tigers in the National Championship Game. Alabama leads this rivalry by a wide margin with 53 wins to 25 losses and five ties in the mix.

The Tide has outscored LSU 193-73 in that span. For those keeping score at home, that’s a plus-120 for the Crimson Tide. If LSU is going to ever reverse the trend against their former head coach, they might have to win it on the road like the last time they won in this rivalry.

As for the rest of the schedule in Week 11, it’s as if the rest of the college football world knows it’s Bama vs. LSU week. Nothing is even as remotely as appealing for headlining the week.
