Week 1: Aug. 24 – Disneyworld, Aug. 29 – Clemson at Georgia Tech, Aug. 31 – Oregon vs. Auburn (Arlington, TX)

Week One is technically two weeks with games on Aug. 24. One could call it Week Zero, but nonetheless ESPN’s College GameDay is opening the year at the happiest place on earth. No, not the local DMV, it’s heading to Walt Disney World.

The following Thursday, College GameDay will be live from Clemson as they open the season against Georgia Tech.

College GameDay heading to the defending National Champion’s opener is akin to the NFL opening from the site of the champs on a Thursday night, save for this year when they celebrate their 100 years. It will be the first time Trevor Lawrence takes the field since he carved up Alabama in the National Championship Game.

The main college football Saturday opener for GameDay will feature a neutral site, the non-conference battle between Oregon and Auburn. Jerry World in Arlington, Texas will feature these two teams go at it as they try to start the season on the right foot.

Oregon has big aspirations with the return of Justin Herbert while Auburn will look to upend a Pac-12 program to begin the season for the second year in a row.

The first week of the schedule isn’t predictions as the locations have been announced already. From here, the guessing game begins and there are multiple games across the schedule that can be pinpointed as that week’s College GameDay host.
