Predicting College GameDay destinations: Are they comin’ to your city in 2019?
Week 2: Sept. 7 – LSU at Texas
Week 2 has some really good options. One of those options is LSU visiting Texas. The other is Clemson hosting Texas A&M in a non-conference battle.
Sam Ehlinger against Ed Orgeron’s defense is going to be an exciting battle and yet another opportunity for the Longhorns to show the world that they are indeed back. It would make sense for GameDay to head to Austin as they are already visiting Clemson on Thursday of Week One.
The Longhorns come into the season with high expectations after defeating Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Tom Herman’s squad looks primed to take that next step as they try to elevate themselves into the College Football Playoff discussion.
Jimbo Fisher’s squad will head to Clemson looking to add a program-defining win while the Tigers will look to add another signature win to their total. Kellen Mond vs Trevor Lawrence could be a fun battle between quarterbacks looking to put up points on the board. SEC vs. ACC could be largely appealing here.
While ESPN likely can’t get enough of Trevor Lawrence, the smart call here is to go to Austin. Tigers and Longhorns is a game between two teams that ended the year on a high note.
