Predicting College GameDay destinations: Are they comin’ to your city in 2019?
Week 7: Oct. 12 – Oklahoma vs. Texas (Dallas, TX)
There’s no question College GameDay is going to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas for Week 7. Now more than ever, no one will want to miss the Red River Rivalry.
Lincoln Riley vs Tom Herman is a rivalry fans should expect to see for a long time in the Big 12. Texas showed at the end of last season they’re ready to finally put their name back in the discussion for bigger things.
Now, this season they’ll aim to win the Big 12. Last season the Longhorns fell to Oklahoma in the conference title game.
Sam Ehlinger returns to the fold for the Longhorns while Oklahoma will look to see if Lincoln Riley can create some magic with former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts.
For a good while, this was a rivalry where even if Texas won this game it didn’t mean much as Oklahoma ran away with the conference and they continued to toil as they tried to climb back to prominence.
We’re spoiled as college football fans that the potential of these two programs meeting twice a year is a strong possibility for many years to come. Right now Oklahoma has had the Longhorns’ number. Is this the year Texas returns the favor in the Big 12?
