DraftKings MLB picks August 22: Mad Max or the K king?

We have a pretty busy Thursday with ten MLB games today. The Cubs and Giants play a matinee at Wrigley, so that is only available in the DraftKings MLB showdown. The other nine games make up the DraftKings MLB main slate. Even with all of the good pitching the last few days, we have some aces left on this one. Two studs make their returns. Are either worth using?

Rain: Pittsburgh(moderate), Baltimore(moderate in middle-late innings), New York(very slight), Atlanta(very slight), St. Louis(moderate)

Wind: 14 mph in from left in Chicago

Hot/Humid: Pittsburgh(humid), Baltimore(both), New York(hot), Atlanta(hot), St. Louis(very humid), Chicago(humid), Houston(both), Oakland(humid)

There is a good chance that Pittsburgh starts delayed, but they will play after said initial delay. Baltimore is the real problem spot. Depending on when the rain hits, that game could be truncated or suspended. There is also a delay chance in St. Louis, but if they wait, that game should play as well.

I had a good night last night thanks to going heavy on Verlander and Teheran. Houser was very solid as well. Montgomery was a dud, but most of the pitching was good. I’ll take that. The Cubs and A’s stacks were pretty good.

These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. We have plenty of writers on here who give you relevant information no matter which site you play on, and we all attack the slate from different angles.
