Matchday 3 of the young English Premier League season begins Friday afternoon, and FanDuel is giving us a typical 5-game main slate on Saturday.  Get all the DFS information you need to win below in my EPL DFS Breakdown.

Both of my EPL DFS Breakdowns last weekend were riddled with good plays and only a few that didn’t work out.  Hopefully, I can continue that this week and bring you guys some more success.

The largest favorite on this main slate is far and away Manchester United (-1.5) at home against Crystal Palace.  With many recognizable names and a large fan base in the US, United will be the chalk on Saturday.

Often, we see a high goal total in the game with the largest favorite, but that isn’t the case here.  Vegas set the goal total at 2.5, which is a pretty average estimate.  While many will stack United, 2-3 players in a mini-stack might be the smarter move.

Liverpool (-1.0) is the next largest favorite at home against Arsenal.  The goal total in this game is a whole goal higher than MU v. CP at 3.5.  There should be a ton of action in this late game, and a game stack will be a viable strategy on Saturday.

Watford (-0.5) at home against West Ham and Leicester (-0.5) on the road against Sheffield United are small favorites on this slate, while Southampton @ Brighton is dead even with a spread of 0.0.  The goal total is 2.5 for WHU @ WAT and SOU @ BHA, but only 2.0 for LEI @ SHU.

As far as team news goes, Arsenal and Manchester United are still trying to move Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez respectively, and it would be very surprising to see either near the field on Saturday.

West Ham’s big-money replacement for Marko Arnautovic, Sebastien Haller, got injured in game 1 and was unable to play in game 2.  He’s questionable for this week but could be in a good spot to get his first EPL game if he is healthy.  It’s the same story for his teammate Felipe Anderson.

After this was initially published, it was announced that Watford forward Troy Deeney underwent a knee operation and will be out for up to a month.  Andre Gray should slide into the starting lineup in his absence.

Ben Chilwell is dealing with a slight leg injury and his status remains unknown.  It was Christian Fuchs who started for Leicester last week, and that could be the case again.  Callum Robinson was subbed off with an injury last week and is questionable this week.  He won’t be in consideration regardless at that outrageous price.

That’s all the overview for this slate.  The plays lay ahead.
