Panthers @ Patriots

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers and Patriots have matched up in week 3 of the preseason in 5 of the last 6 seasons, allowing for a lot of familiarity. Christian McCaffrey and Greg Olsen have yet to touch the ball, but along with Cam Newton and many other starters, they are expected to play multiple series on Thursday vs. the Patriots.

The backup QB competition will rage on between Will Grier and Kyle Allen later in the night. A familiar face will be returning to New England in Chris Hogan who will fight for a higher slot on the depth chart this week and will be battling with Torrey Smith, Aldrick Robinson, Terry Godwin, Jaydon Mickens and Rashad Ross.

New England Patriots: HUGE news hit the wire for the reigning champs this week as the supremely talented Josh Gordon was reinstated by the league. With a healthy Julian Edelman and Demaryius Thomas, the Patriots all of a sudden have a surplus of talented receivers on their hand, something that was considered a weakness weeks ago.

Behind Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman, and N’Keal Harry, there is a slew of guys who will be fighting for the handful of remaining spots including Philip Dorsett, Braxton Berrios, Demaryius Thomas, Maurice Harris, Cameron Meredith, and preseason stand-out Jakobi Meyers. Additionally, Tom Brady often plays a full half of football in the 2nd or 3rd week of the preseason, so we may see a decent amount of Tom which will assist in the WR search.

Players to use in DFS: Aldrick Robinson (WR-CAR), Tom Brady (QB-NE), Jakobi Meyers (WR-NE), Braxton Berrios (WR-NE)
