The WWE King of the Ring tournament is in full swing, after kicking off last Monday night. This week, first-round matches will continue as Raw heads to New Orleans.
Drew McIntyre has been recognized as a heavy favorite in this tournament, thanks to his vicious style of competition and lack of care for his opponents. But this week, his road to the King of the Ring throne will go through Ricochet. Fresh off a tag team victory last week, where Ricochet and The Miz bested McIntyre and Baron Corbin, the high-flyer has some momentum over the Scottish Psychopath. Can he continue his streak, or will McIntyre move a step closer to the crown?
In the other first-round match on Raw, we’ll see the other half of that tag match in action. The Miz will face off against Corbin. The former “Constable” of Raw has his eyes set on winning the tournament, but the A-Lister has a habit of wrecking plans on a regular basis. Can The Miz pull off the victory, or will Corbin give fans another reason to hate him?
Last Tuesday night on SmackDown Live, Bayley interrupted “A Moment of Bliss” and shoved Charlotte Flair to the floor. It was a brash move by the SmackDown Women’s Champion. But this week on Raw, Bayley will meet Nikki Cross in singles action. We already know Cross will have Alexa Bliss in her corner, meaning Bayley will have to keep her attention sharp.
