Ranking the top 10 tailgating spots in college football
By Phil Poling
Many like to claim the SEC dominates college football. They’re wrong – Alabama does alone. But where that statement does ring true is in their tailgating. LSU, Tennessee and South Carolina are all great schools to tailgate at, but the Rebels in Oxford take the tailgating cake.
Ole Miss has produced two double-digit win seasons since the turn of the century, but that hasn’t stopped their fans from becoming a tailgating powerhouse. The Grove, located at the center of Ole Miss’ campus, is a gathering spot for thousands upon thousands of fans. They line up tent after tent and have an all-out party.
The Rebels’ home schedule in 2019 includes Arkansas, Southeastern Louisiana, California, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, New Mexico State and LSU. Some of those games could be absolute snoozers, but that just means Ole Miss fans can spend more time at The Grove.
