WWE SmackDown Live preview, August 27: Watch online
Here’s all the information you need for the August 27, 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown Live.
The final first-round matchups in the 2019 WWE King of the Ring tournament will take place this Tuesday night. Two matches will wrap up the first round, as former Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy takes on Ali and Chad Gable faces former partner Shelton Benjamin.
Murphy picked up arguably one of the biggest wins of his career recently, when he pinned Daniel Bryan and shocked the WWE Universe. Ali is an incredible athlete that continues to impress every week. This will definitely be worth watching, to see who will advance to the next round.
Gable and Benjamin are former friends and partners, but Benjamin has been mocking him for a few weeks now and will have to face Gable in the other first-round match. A win could be huge for either one of these two men.
Last week, Daniel Bryan promised to reveal the man that has been targeting Roman Reigns. He revealed a man that looked identical to Erick Rowan, down to the red beard. Nobody knows who this man is, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if this were just an attempt by Bryan to throw Reigns off his trail.
Also last week, Bayley made a rather abrupt statement when she interrupted “A Moment of Bliss” and shoved Charlotte Flair to the floor. This came moments after the SmackDown Women’s Champion accepted Flair’s challenge for the upcoming Clash of Champions event. The Queen of All Eras will no doubt be in a nasty mood on Tuesday night, and should have plenty to say about Bayley and their title match.
