FanDuel MLB DFS Breakdown: Wednesday, 8/28
Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the FanDuel MLB DFS Breakdown! I’m Thunder Dan and I’ve been covering pitching for MLB DFS on all season long at FanSided Fantasy. Back by popular demand, I’m ready to do a complete slate breakdown for the FanDuel main slate today, and don’t worry I’m still going to talk plenty about pitchers!
I am going to continue to do these full slate breakdowns as often as I can for the rest of the season as they’ve had a pretty positive reception from you, the readers. And frankly, it’s been pretty hard to find enough pitchers I like on a nightly basis to devote an entire article to pitching.
If you haven’t noticed yet, FantasyCPR is now officially FanSided Fantasy, your one-stop site for everything fantasy sports-related. I know everyone on our staff is really excited about the transition and the opportunity to grow our reach to more fantasy sports fans!
Last night was very frustrating for me because I had some really good performances from pitchers like Andrew Heaney and Walker Buehler, but only a few offenses that I was on (Dodgers and Yankees) actually do much of anything. The Nationals were a massive bust, as were the Athletics and Braves. And yes, I even stacked some Tigers waiting for “Adam Plutko regression day” and they made a mockery of me by striking out nine times against him.
Today’s breakdown is for the 11-game main slate on FanDuel that locks at 7:05. There is a 3-game early only slate, but I will devote all my analysis to the main slate tonight in what should make for another compelling MLB DFS slate.
I will give you my top arms for cash and GPPs, my cash core of three hitters you should build your cash game lineup around, and three of my favorite teams to use in GPPs when you build your three and four-man hitting stacks. I’m also including a new section today that will feature some value bats.
I am going to do my best to give you some different options at various price points and today I’ll include my GPP sample lineups for both slates at the end of the article with my final thoughts. Let’s get things started with my top “cash game arm” at the pitcher position.
