DraftKings MLB early picks August 31: Hamels time
As per usual, the DraftKings MLB are a little choppy for our Saturday. At least the early DraftKings MLB tournament is only five games so we can focus on what’s really important: college football! The baseball tournaments are larger and more profitable though, so that’s where we want to concentrate the bulk of our DFS.

Despite a smaller early DraftKings MLB slate, we have some really solid pitching options out there. There is the first game of a doubleheader in this slate too, so be on the lookout for some value opening up once lineups are released.
I will gloss over the two game “turbo” slate here since two teams were brave enough to start before everyone else on the East Coast. Oh, the humanity!
Rain: NONE
Wind: NONE
Hot/Humid: St. Louis(humid)
It’s a really great baseball afternoon with no weather really interfering. It’s no warmer in St. Louis than anywhere else, but the humidity could help the ball carry a bit more. Not enough to favor the hitters that much though.
Scores got insanely high last night and it wasn’t really because of the Anaheim marathon. MadBum and Lamet had solid nights and Means was the great bargain pick. If you had the wrong Coors or Red Sox bats, you were sunk. I had one lineup at 175, and it didn’t win much.
These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. We have plenty of writers on here who give you relevant information no matter which site you play on, and we all attack the slate from different angles.
