DraftKings MLB daily notes:
I have a lot of respect for the turnaround of Reynaldo Lopez over the last six weeks or so, but I still don’t feel comfortable using him in Hotlanta though. Freddie Freeman, Josh Donaldson, and Ronald Acuna are the ones I would use if you feel like going after him. I really feel like this could go either way, though I tend to think that Lopez wont have a truly bad outing.
The White Sox have clobbered lefties. Well, until last night. Being dominated by Max Fried is one thing. Keuchel wont be able to do the same. Jose Abreu has two homers against Keuchel already. James McCann is 4-9 with a homer and four RBI. Ryan Goins is an excellent punt if you don’t want to pay for Moncada.
I was going to use Tom Milone against the Rangers tonight until they roughed up Marco a little bit last night. It wasn’t even Elvis that did the damage. Danny Santana hit the homers and Trevino drove in a pair. Nick Solak is worth a look too.
Robbie Ray’s good numbers against the Dodgers are all in Dodger Stadium. Here it’s acceptable to go after him, especially now that most of the lefty mashers are healthy again. Kike has four homers against Ray in his career. Jedd Gyorko has two. Chris Taylor is hitting .321 in 28 at bats, but doesn’t have a homer yet.
Given Melville’s early success, I don’t think I’m going to stack on him. However, Josh Bell, Bryan Reynolds, and Kevin Newman will still occupy some spots in my lineups.
