2. Devin Bush +500

Just because a player is the favorite doesn’t mean he’s a bad bet. That’s exactly what we’re dealing with here with Devin Bush. The Pittsburgh Steelers new toy is ready to step in to the linebacker spot that’s needed an edge after the likely career-ending injury of Ryan Shazier. Bush looked great in the preseason, and he’s going to get an opportunity to show his skills from Week 1.

We’ve talked about how hard it is for defensive rookies to stand out on bad teams. Bush will not have that problem. Not only are the Steelers likely going to be good, they lost the two biggest headline makers this offseason in Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. Now, the writers in the Steel City can focus on the product on the field, which will help the Bush award narrative.

Bush has skyrocketed up the odds board, jumping from +1000 to now +500. Obviously, you would have liked to bet this one two months ago, but we’re here now, and seeing him bring it on the field was worth it to know where your money is going.

If the Steelers are able to hold off the Browns and Ravens to win the AFC North crown, multiple players on the team will be in awards consideration. The Browns are the offseason darling, and like we said the Steelers lost two of the better players at running back and wide receiver. That will give voters a reason to really focus in on the players excelling, including Bush. He has a real chance to sign, and could get lifted up by the players around him.
