Week 1 of the NFL season is finally here! With so many games to bet on, which give you the best chance of making money?

Ladies and gentlemen, we have NFL football today. That means we have NFL football betting all weekend long. It’s been seven months since you could put money on the NFL (unless you’re someone who likes to bet on the preseason, whoever you are). This is a day we wait all summer for, and it’s finally here.

Week 1 is usually one of the hardest betting weeks of the entire season. So many things happen that we don’t see coming. Some of the storylines coming out of Week 1 last season included a renaissance from the New York Jets, the Cincinnati Bengals becoming contenders again, the Buffalo Bills being the most sure losing bet of the season, the Cowboys being historically bad, Ryan Fitzpatrick leading the Buccaneers to wins and Aaron Rodgers riding the magic to what looked like another great season. Of course, none of that happened.

This season feels a little more cut and dry, but does it ever work out that way? We are looking through the numbers and helping bettors out there find the best possible games to put your money on. The biggest mistake new bettors make in the beginning is putting money on too many different games. The variables start to fluctuate the more places you put your money. This piece will help you focus your money on the places where it will be most profitable.

So, how should we bet every games this week?

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

We start with Thursday Night Football to open the 100th NFL season. The Packers have a new coaching staff that’s trying to figure things out with Aaron Rodgers. We really like the under 46.5 points here. The three point spread makes this harder to bet, so we’d suggest just steering clear of the straight up bet.
