A five-count rundown from this week’s episode of WWE NXT, keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in the black and gold brand.

This week’s edition of NXT had Adam Cole defending his NXT Championship in the main event of the show against Jordan Myles. Under that, we had some good, solid action that should help set up contenders for the other titles on the brand going forward.

We’ll go over all of that here. So without further ado, this is the NXT 5 Count for the September 4 show!

1. Breezango continue their winning ways in NXT

Breezango, complete with new entrance music, made their tag team in-ring debut at Full Sail Live this week against Chase Parker and Matt Martel. Clearly this wasn’t meant to be a competitive contest. This was absolutely a showcase match for Fandango and Tyler Breeze.

Both of the veterans looked great here. It really is a new Breezango compared to what we have seen on the main roster. Fandango and Breeze are far from the comedy act they were treated on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. While they are still incredibly entertaining they are an act that will be taken more seriously on the black and gold brand.

The finish came when Breezango hit a cool double team maneuver that we don’t believe has been named yet on Martel before picking up the win. It was exactly what it should have been, nothing more, nothing less. We are personally quite excited for a future match between Breezango and the Undisputed ERA. That could be really great!

One has to believe with NXT expanding in a few weeks Breezango could be the first of many acts coming over from the so-called main roster. With a rumored WWE Draft taking place in October one would have to wonder if NXT could receive some benefits of this draft since they will be moving to the USA Network. Only time will tell.
