College football betting results August 29-30:

Georgia Tech at Clemson(-36.5): HIT! Clemson really did look sloppy for a lot of this game. Still, the Wreck was a train wreck. They just did no Ramblin’…..

Texas State at Texas A&M(-32.5): HIT! This was never close. The Bobcats did make me sweat this though.

Utah(-6.5) at BYU: MISS! Zack Moss is a freaking tank! BYU is a solid defense and they still had no answer for him.

UCLA at Cincinnati(-2.5): HIT! This was easy money. DTR showed some improvement here, but UCLA still has a long ways to go. Their defense is way ahead of their offense right now.

Florida International at Tulane(-2.5): HIT! I should have went higher on this. This was an impressive performance by Tulane, specifically Darius Bradwell and Darnell Mooney.

South Dakota State at Minnesota(-12.5): MISS! The Gophers were damn lucky to win this. The Jackrabbits showed why they are constantly in the FCS playoffs.

Kent State at Arizona State(-24.5): MISS! It took the Devils a bit to really get going, but it was a garbage Kent touchdown that kept me from the win. Still, Jayden Daniels was impressive in his debut.

Tulsa at Michigan State(-23.5): MISS! I knew better. This offense is still a poorly polished turd.

Wisconsin(-12.5) at South Florida: HIT! Well, at least one Big Ten(14) team put on a show in week one. Seriously. Just engrave the Heisman now. I don’t care what ridiculous numbers some quarterback puts up. Jonathan Taylor is the best player.

Rice at Army(-22.5): MISS! That’s five straight road teams that beat the spread. I was impressed with Nahshon Ellerbe on the offensive side and the Rice defense in this one. The defense showed up. I’m not sure they did once last year.

Massachusetts at Rutgers(-15.5): MISS! McLane Carter was as advertised, but the difference maker was Isaih Pacheco. If he runs like that in Big Ten(14) play, Rutgers has a shot at a bowl game.

Utah State at Wake Forest(-3.5): MISS! Another half got me already. This was an impressive game for Jordan Love, but Utah State had no answer for Sage Surratt. Greg who?

Purdue(-10.5) at Nevada: MISS! Purdue was running off with this game until Nevada realized that it could push the Purdue front around. Once that happened, it was all over. Elijah Sindelar had a strong game. So did Rondale Moore. Unfortunately for the Boilers, neither one of them play defense.

Tell me that kicker didn’t deserve a scholarship!

Colorado State vs. Colorado(-13.5): HIT! The Rams hung around for a while this year, but it was running back Alex Fontenot that stole the show for the Ralphies this year. By the way, Collin Hill is going to be really good for Colorado State this year.

Oklahoma State(-14.5) at Oregon State: HIT! I hedged my bets by going lower on this one. What shocked me was the lack of defense by the Pokes. They got destroyed by Isaiah Hodgins. He had 170 of Jake Lutonā€˜s 251 passing yards! That was still no match for Chuba Hubbard.
