The Cleveland Browns were extremely hyped entering the season, and things have already turned sour after a rough first half against the Tennessee Titans.

There is as much hype in Cleveland as there has been since the franchise’s rebirth in 1999, so fans have big expectations for the Browns. The Browns haven’t won their first game since 2004, and the Dawg Pound let them have it after an underwhelming first half performance against the Titans.

That’s right, the Browns got booed off the field after just a half of football where they trail by six points. Baker Mayfield hasn’t been terrible, completing 12 of 19 passes for 154 yards, but there haven’t been a ton of big plays for what was supposed to be an explosive offense, with Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry combining for eight catches so far.

The Titans have simply managed to play this game at their tempo, slowing the clock by running the ball 14 times for 62 yards, including a rushing touchdown for Derrick Henry. The Tennessee defense is also no joke, rating highly in terms of points allowed just a year ago.

There is still another half of football for the Browns to turn things around, but the Dawg Pound could continue to turn hostile if Cleveland flounders again coming out of the locker room. Browns’ fans are starved for good football, having seen only one playoff team since the team returned in 1999, so its hard to blame them for being frustrated that this extremely hyped group looks flat right now.
