Fantasy Football: Make or break season for 3 quarterbacks

With Week 1 upon us, it is interesting to ponder which quarterbacks may be on the hot-seat heading into 2019. Derek Carr, Marcus Mariota, and Jameis Winston are three quarterbacks who are entering a “make or break” type of season this year. A lot of pressure is on these three guys and many will be watching them carefully throughout the Fantasy Football season to see if they are worth remaining on their current rosters in the future beyond 2019.

All three of these quarterbacks have an impressive talent yet, they also possess a lot of question marks at the moment. We will take a quick overview of how these three quarterbacks got to be in their current predicaments and how their outlooks appear for 2019.

Each player has their own unique situation to explore and see how their careers unfold is very important when building a fantasy roster. Past records and accomplishments play a major role in a player’s fantasy stock as well as their current situation.

Examining both aspects and then combining them together to get a more holistic scope of the player gives a fantasy manager a better idea of what they are getting themselves into when they draft a specific player.

Keeping an open mind to the facts presented and not allowing biased opinions about a player whatever that reason may be, is the best approach when drafting a questionable player. Sometimes we get too caught up in certain qualities of a player that we forget to consider the other factors that play a large role.

In the end, we must measure the pros and cons, and if the pros outweigh the cons, then you know the decision is a reasonable one.

Now let’s take a look at each of these athlete’s journeys to the NFL and their chances of turning it around this year.
