PGA value plays and sleepers: The 2019 Greenbrier

Cameron Percy

Cameron finished his 2018 season strong having made 8 of 10 cuts in his last 10 events on Tour where his statistics looked great but ultimately found himself on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019. A seasoned Australian Veteran, Percy fought his way back to Tour Status with two top 10 finishes on the KFT where he averaged 306 yards Off the tee with 66.89% accuracy and ranked 11th on the tour in greens in regulation at 72.73%. At $7,500 on Fanduel and $6,500 on DraftKings, I believe he makes a fine choice having had the competitive experience at the highest level since 2013.

Joseph Bramlett

After finally realizing his dream and earning his Tour card after 8 years, Bramlett now finds himself competing in his second PGA event in 2019. We last saw Joseph at the US Open at Pebble Beach where he earned his qualifications for the second time in his career competing not too far away from his home of San Jose, California. He ultimately went on to miss the cut at the Major but showed great signs gaining +2.2 Strokes Tee to Green- what let him down was his putter that week. Known as a longer hitter, Joseph averaged 310 yards off the tee during the KFT Season and earned a 6th place rank in GIR’s hit at 73.39%. Also ranked 8th in scoring average among his KFT peers at 69.75, he might be a little underpriced on Fanduel for minimum salary and comes in at quite a discount on DK at $6,400.

Kristoffer Ventura

If you follow NCAA Golf you most surely know the excellence and dominance of the Oklahoma State Golf program which has produced the likes of Rickie Fowler, Viktor Hovland and Matthew Wolff. Ventura is a 2017 alumni and like his younger fellow alum Viktor, also hails from Norway. He has competed in golfs “Minor leagues” for a few seasons and achieved 4 top 10 finishes on the KFT in 2019 coupled with two wins at the Utah Championship and the Pinnacle Bank Championship. Earning north of 336K on the year, we last saw him on the PGA Tour in 2019 at the Valero Open where he gained +2.5 Strokes Total for a very respectable T35 Finish at TPC San Antonio. You might find him at a great value on both respective sites.
