After a crazy week one of the NFL season, we look back and evaluate some of the biggest standout fantasy football performances, both good and bad, and look ahead to the rest of the fantasy football season.

Welcome to what I like to call fantasy football “Dudes, Duds, and Deceivers”, where I look back at the week of fantasy football and evaluate players’ performances. I highlight the ones that stood out to me, either positively or negatively.

Let me go ahead and explain what each category means. “Dudes” are the players that had outstanding performances that I think can sustain a similar level of performance and are worth acquiring, either via waivers or trade.

Duds, pretty clearly are the guys that had disappointing performances. These are guys that I would be worried about if they were on my roster and potential worth moving on from.

Deceivers are those with distinguished performances, good or bad, that I think are a bit of a fluke or anomaly. These guys are players that I think you shouldn’t overreact too much on. They may have had a career game but aren’t worth buying high, or had a less than stellar outing but should be able to pick things back up.

Now that we all know what we’re looking at let’s get right into the week one analysis.
