Welcome to the Week 2’s NFL DFS game-by-game breakdown! These will be weekly pieces that are published every Wednesday, giving you a comprehensive look at every single game of the week from Thursday through Monday.

Just like that, week 1 is behind us and boy what a week it was. Lamar Jackson proved all of the doubters wrong with his 5-TD performance while Christian McCaffrey piled up another 200+ yards from scrimmage.

Can they keep pace in week 2 or will they come back to Earth? While we cannot guarantee what will happen, we can do our best to predict the future without focusing solely on the week 1 bias.

On the flip side, there was also a few major injuries that have some major fantasy implications, as Jaguars’ quarterback Nick Foles (broken clavicle) and Chiefs’ wide receiver Tyreek Hill (collarbone) are both expected to be out indefinitely.

For the Week 2 breakdown, I have brought in another form of analysis, the Pro Football Focus grades. These grades are based on a 0-100 scale, with 100 being the best. This will help give insight to matchups as well as individual player production.

One note that I wanted to add is the distinction between a player being designated as a cash-game play or a GPP play. Just because they are listed as a cash play does not mean they are ruled out of GPPs. That simply means that they have a floor that is stable enough to warrant consideration in cash games. Often times, this is coupled with a ceiling high enough for GPPs, making the “Cash Game Plays” the best overall plays on the board.

If a player is a strict GPP-Play, they carry too much risk for cash games, but have a high enough ceiling to warrant consideration in tournaments.

Without further ado, let’s get back to breaking down some football!
