Draftkings NFL GPP pivots: Quarterback

Chalk: Josh Allen, Jared Goff, Tom Brady, Derek Carr

Pivots: Dak Prescott, Andy Dalton

This week I am going to spend less time analyzing the chalk and focus most of my analysis on the pivots. Remember, by identifying the chalk I am not ruling out playing these guys, as all of them are solid plays this week, I am simply making sure I understand that their ownership will be significantly higher than others at their position.

Dak Prescott threw for over 400 yards and 4 touchdowns week one and yet it feels like no one is talking about him this week in a matchup with division rival Washington. Ezekiel Elliot was eased back into action in the Cowboys game against the Giants and Dallas used its passing game to move the chains all day long.

Dak looked impressive in the pocket delivering crisp passes to his receivers and has more weapons in this passing attack than he’s ever had before with the addition of Randall Cobb, the return of Jason Witten, and the emergence of Michael Gallup. The Redskins secondary was diced by Carson Wentz week one, I see no reason why Dak won’t come into Washington and light them up, too. And he’s always a threat to add a rushing score with his legs.

Andy Dalton also threw for 400+ yards in the Bengals week one loss to Seattle. He attempted 51 passes in that game and this week faces the 49ers and their 27th ranked pass defense from last season. I think Dalton will have to have another big game if Cincy is going to win that game and like I mentioned earlier, I have my eyes on that game as one that could potentially go over its 46-point Vegas total. Stack him up with Tyler Boyd (more on him later) for an elite QB-WR two-man combo.
