By Adam Stocker
RB Leipzig face Bayern Munich at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, Sept. 14. Here’s all the info you need to watch online.
Following the international break, the Bundesliga season resumes. In the biggest game of the weekend, first-place RB Leipzig host second-place Bayern Munich at Red Bull Arena. Leipzig are the only Bundesliga club with a perfect record. Meanwhile, Bayern have seven points in their first three games.
While Leipzig are only in their fourth Bundesliga season in club history, they already feel like a fixture near the top of the table. Not bad for a club that was in the fourth tier of the pyramid in Germany seven years ago and the fifth tier a decade ago. After finishing third last season, the Red Bulls look to capture their first championship this season. Timo Werner has scored five goals this season to lead Leipzig and was rewarded with a new contract. The German striker will lead the attack for the Red Bulls.
After a draw in the opening game of the season, Bayern have won two straight games. The seven-time defending Bundesliga champions are in for an extremely tight race this season as both Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are expected to be in the title race until the very end of the season. Bayern easily defeated Mainz 6-1 in their last game. Robert Lewandowski scored his Bundesliga-best sixth goal of the season. The Polish striker is looking to win the Torjagerkanone as the Bundesliga top scorer for the third straight year and the fifth time since the 2013-14 season.
