College GameDay Week 3: Best signs from Iowa vs. Iowa State

College GameDay landed in Ames, IA as the Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones are battling for the Cy-Hawk Trophy, and these were the best GameDay signs.

In just about any college football rivalry game, there is little love between the two teams. However, one of the most underrated games in this regard is the annual battle between the Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones for the Cy-Hawk Trophy. And as that matchup heads to Ames in Week 3, they were the natural hosts for ESPN’s College GameDay.

The Hawkeyes have won four straight matchups against the Cyclones coming into this game, which adds some fuel to the fire. More importantly, though, these are two teams that always play one another exceptionally close. But more pressingly in terms of College GameDay and the entertainment of fans watching at home, these are two groups of fans that just plain don’t like one another.

Given that they are both in the state of Iowa, though, that means both fan-bases turn out whenever GameDay comes to town. In turn, that means a strong representation in terms of College GameDay signs. And if that weren’t enough, the general animosity between two rivals like this usually allows for some great creativity and quality signs as a result.

Put simply, when there’s no love between two fan-bases in close proximity, that makes for a great batch of College GameDay signs. These were the best from Saturday ahead of Iowa vs. Iowa State:
