Manchester United face Leicester at Old Trafford on Saturday, Sept. 14. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Premier League season restarts following the international break. In one of the marquee games of the weekend, Manchester United host Leicester at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have gotten off to a disappointing start, picking up five points in their first four games. The Foxes are one of three teams that have not lost a game yet. Leicester are third in the table with eight points.
United’s biggest summer signing was Harry Maguire. The Red Devils paid Leicester €87 million for the English center-back. Saturday will be the first time that Maguire faces his former club. Despite the record signing for a center-back, United are still a flawed team under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. United’s issues in midfield will be amplified if Paul Pogba is unable to play. The French midfielder is dealing with an ankle injury that might prevent him from playing. The loss of Pogba would create a giant hole in the middle of the field for United. Upfront, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial have each scored twice this season. The duo will lead the attack for the Red Devils but surprisingly Daniel James leads the club with three goals and could be a factor off of the bench.
After two straight draws to start the season, Leicester have won two straight games. The Foxes easily beat Bournemouth 3-1 in their last game before the international break. Jamie Vardy scored twice the Cherries and leads Leicester with three goals this season. The English striker will lead the attack for the Foxes, while James Maddison and Youri Tielemans provide service. At the back, Leicester have missed Maguire but have a better than expected job replacing him. Manager Brendan Rodgers has used Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu as his primary center-back pairing. The duo has played well together, as Leicester have only conceded three goals this season.

United won both games against Leicester last season and have quite a one-sided record against the Foxes. Since Leicester were promoted back to the Premier League in 2014, United have won six of 10 games, while Leicester have only won once. The Foxes last victory against United was Sept. 21, 2014, when they won 5-3.
