The Oklahoma Sooners are headed out west to face off against Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins. Oklahoma won big against the Bruins a season ago and will look to do that again this year.

Jalen Hurts is proving to be a dominant force in Oklahoma’s offense. The former Alabama quarterback played well while with the Crimson Tide, but he has taken things to a new level at his new school. Hurts has completed a remarkable 82.9 percent of his passes and has thrown for 591 yards and six touchdowns. On top of that, Hurts has also run for 223 yards and three touchdowns.

Seemingly everything is going well for the Sooners and their newest transfer quarterback. Things aren’t going so smoothly for Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins. In fact, UCLA’s attempt at a rebuild has been going pretty poorly.

UCLA is winless on the year and only managed to get three wins a season ago. And when these two teams met a season ago, Oklahoma managed to defeat UCLA by 28 points. This year, there’s a very real chance that the Sooners can win by a larger margin.

Prediction

Lincoln Riley will look to get the Sooners off to a hot start early while on the road. Expect OU to come out firing quickly and to score often in the first quarter of this game. The Sooners are going to do what they can to build an insurmountable lead in the first 15 minutes of this game and then cruise to an easy victory.

And that’s really feasible for this team. The Sooners should smoothly score early and often in this game. There’s little that a struggling UCLA team will really be able to do to keep up. OU should win without much effort here.

Score: Oklahoma 52, UCLA 17
