Roman Reigns seeks revenge in a No Disqualification Match against Erick Rowan, who seemingly tried to end Reigns’ career.

The feud between Erick Rowan and Roman Reigns started weeks ago when Reigns had lighting equipment fall and nearly crush him. At the time, it was deemed an accident, but then he was nearly run down in the parking lot when a car smashed into his own vehicle. Reigns was able to jump inside his car and stave off a major injury, but that was all the indication he needed to determine that the previous week’s incident wasn’t an accident either.

Reigns was on a mission to find out who was responsible for the attacks. He heard Buddy Murphy was in the hallway and cornered him in the locker room. He had to beat it out of him, but Murphy finally admitted that he saw Rowan at the scene. That’s when Daniel Bryan got involved and vehemently denied his or Rowan’s participation in the incidents.

The Big Dog didn’t buy it though, and when Bryan demanded an apology from Reigns, Roman played him a video showing that Rowan indeed was the perpetrator. Bryan lost it on Rowan, slapping him several times across the face and adamantly denying that he, himself, had any involvement, something he continues today.

Rowan, however, is apparently distancing himself from The Planet’s Champion and addressed the SmackDown Live crowd at Madison Square Garden on Monday. During his talk, Roman interrupted him and a brawl ensued.

Security attempted to separate the two men after the fight ended up in the middle of the WWE Universe, but the fight continued up the entrance ramp where Rowan spun a jib camera around to hit Roman (and a security guard) and knock him down. At that point, Rowan threw up his hands while taunting Roman and walked away.

Reigns is going to want payback for everything Rowan has done to him, and Rowan wants to show that no one is controlling him, that he does things out of his own free will and volition. So the match between the two heavyweights is going to be one for the ages.

And that’s not only because it’s set up to be a good match anyway, but the no disqualification stipulation makes it all the more interesting. It’s hard to predict who will come out the victor, so grab some popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.
