It was another wacky week for college football and the AP Top 25 will surely reflect that. Here’s how we project the AP Poll to look for Week 4.

For a weekend that didn’t feature any games between two ranked opponents, it didn’t disappoint. College football fans have been spoiled with good games this season and Week 3 was no different.

The weekend started with Washington State taking care of Houston at NFG Stadium in Texas and the Cougars did so with Anthony Gordon passing for over 400 yards for the third consecutive game. Will the Cougars be on the rise?

Penn State survived a tight game against Pitt on Saturday, Maryland was upset at Temple and the same fate was suffered by Michigan State against Arizona State. The Big Ten didn’t have the best day, but the Iowa vs. Iowa State game didn’t disappoint after a long weather delay.

Florida lost Feleipe Franks but still found a way to come from behind to beat Kentucky on the road. That might be a big storyline moving forward in the SEC.

There was no shortage of upsets in Week 3 and that should have a major effect on the rankings.

So what will the AP Top 25 look like on Sunday when it’s released at 2 p.m. ET?

Projected Week 4 AP Poll

  1. Clemson
  2. Alabama
  3. Georgia
  4. LSU
  5. Oklahoma
  6. Ohio State
  7. Notre Dame
  8. Auburn
  9. Florida
  10. Michigan
  11. Utah
  12. Texas
  13. UCF
  14. Penn State
  15. Wisconsin
  16. Oregon
  17. Texas A&M
  18. Iowa
  19. Washington State
  20. Boise State
  21. Washington
  22. TCU
  23. Arizona State
  24. Virginia
  25. Oklahoma State

While I don’t predict any movement in the top-10, outside of maybe Florida moving down one spot for a shaky performance against Kentucky, the 10-25 spots are all up for grabs.

Virginia escaped a Week 3 ACC battle against Florida State with a win but it wasn’t pretty but there will be a few new teams in the rankings such as Arizona State, TCU and Oklahoma State. Keep an eye on Army as the Knights might get some big votes after nearly beating Michigan a week ago and then downing UTSA.

Did I move anyone down too much or have too much faith in a team like UCF who dominated Stanford?
