There are a lot of players worth adding off the waiver wire for your fantasy football team whether it’s because of matchups, streaky performances or personnel changes.

Another week of fantasy football, another list of players who are injured. The two big names that went down were Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees. But, there were a few other players that were banged up or just didn’t look good during their games.

Cam Newton has struggled in his first two weeks. O.J. Howard and Mike Evans have disappointed so far. These are players that fantasy owners spent an early-round pick on when they could have drafted someone else in that round.

But there were some good things that happened in Week 2. Sammy Watkins and John Ross are two of the names that quickly come to mind. They were drafted late if they were drafted at all. No one expected these two to be the top two wide receivers after Week 2.

With these breakout performances, fantasy owners are looking for players that will lead them to a win this week. These are the players that were ignored on draft day but are getting love after a couple of weeks of action.

The waiver wire players are not going to put up big numbers on a consistent basis like the elite players will. Sometimes they’ll have more but they could also finish with less than 10 points. There is a reason why they weren’t drafted.

Again, with it only being Week 3, there’s no need to blow up your whole team and chase after multiple waiver wire players. But, if you want to add one or two of these players for Week 3 or possibly longer than that, then go for it.

I will have three running backs, three wide receivers, two quarterbacks and a tight end listed for your consideration. All nine players will have ownership percentages under 40 percent in ESPN leagues.
