DFS advice – Week 2 recap

Another week in the books with tons of story-lines to get to that have rocked the fantasy football landscape. Injuries are spreading like wildfire and breakout stars keep coming out of the woodwork as the season progresses and we are back for Week 3 with our DFS advice!

Key injuries to players like Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger, to name a couple, completely changes to balance of order in the NFL. With two top quarterbacks going down with major injuries, how will your fantasy squad be affected by it? Will you benefit from these unfortunate circumstances or will you founder? I guess it all depends on what end of the stick you’re holding.

Not only are injuries a major headliner this week, but also the rise of some notable players as well. Guys like Demarcus Robinson, D.J. Chark, and many more are all stepping up for their teams that no one imagined when the season first began.

Conversely, there are some players who are disappointing everyone in some pretty epic proportions. Some players who have not lived up to the offseason hype up to this point include Stefon Diggs, Jarvis Landry, Joe Mixon, and Tarik Cohen to name a few.

Of course, it’s still very early and there’s plenty of time for these guys to turn it around. Matchups and game-scripts are a major component of how a player will perform. The play of another teammate like a quarterback’s performance can determine how well a receiver does and visa versa.

Here, I will examine what matchups and current trends we should follow in order to determine which players to start and which ones to just plain ignore heading into Week 3. These lists aren’t always perfect, as I’m sure you’re all well aware of by now, but they do help when trying to make a difficult decision for Sunday.

I hope you find this list helpful as we prepare for what I’m anticipating to be another exciting week in the NFL!
