NFL DFS: Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
The Titans have somehow been a team thatās provided a decent amount of fantasy production throughout the first two weeks of the season, however itās funneled through two players;Ā Derrick HenryĀ andĀ Delanie Walker.Ā HenryĀ has picked up right where he left off after his conclusion to the 2018 season, recording at least 15 carries in each game so far on top of 3 total touchdowns. Heās averaged a shade under 5 yards per carry and comes into a decent spot against the Jaguars and their 17th ranked run blocking defense. Only 2 players on the Jags front 7 have PFF grades north of 70, making this a matchup that warrants some upside for Henry, especially on a showdown slate.
WalkerĀ has logged a 22.2% target share through the first two games of the season, amassing 9 catches on 12 targets for 94 yards and 2 TDs. The most exploitable part of the Jags defense is the middle of the field, as linebacker Quincy Williams PFF grade of 34.6 ranks him 76th at his position. He remains an ultra-safe option on a limited slate.
Marcus MariotaĀ doesnāt ever possess a ton of upside given his extreme lack of volume, but heās viable on a showdown slate given the lack of options. While Mariota is a fine option, I would avoid pairing him with his WR1Ā Corey Davis. Heās only recorded 8 targets through the first two games and has averaged 1.3 catches and 14.8 yards per game against the Jaguars over his last 4 games against them.
Cash Plays:Ā Henry (showdown), WalkerĀ
GPP Plays:Ā Mariota, Henry (TH-M)
Jacksonville Jaguars
Gardner MinshewĀ was less flashy in his debut start compared to when he walked off of the plane but was able to record a turnover free game en route to a 213-yard, 1-TD performance against a tough Houston defense. Heās demonstrated immediate chemistry withĀ D.J. Chark through their first two games together, as Chark has paced the team with a 20.0% target share, 2 TDs (leads team) and 85.71% completion rate (leads team). He led the team in targets in week 2 (9) and was used primarily as a short-yardage option (6.11 yards per target). A safety blanket with upside like this is a great play on a single-game slate.
Heās also shown trust in WRĀ Chris Conley, whoās recorded the 2nd most receptions (10) on the team. Heās been the big-play threat with the 2nd highest aDOT on the team (13). The Titans are 2nd in the league in pass DVOA, so I would negate a bit of the upside, but you could find worse plays on a showdown slate.
Leonard FournetteĀ reverted back to his inefficient self in week 2, averaging 3.13 yards per carry on 15 attempts, but his involvement in the passing game continues to be a massive bright spot, as heās amassed 12 targets through his first 2 games with 68 receiving yards. Heās tied for 3rd on the team in target share and if he can keep this up, heāll have a much more stable floor, especially in a competitive game like this.
Cash Plays:Ā Fournette, Chark (showdown)
GPP Plays:Ā Chark (TH-M), Conley (Showdown)
