NFL DFS: Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Tennessee Titans

The Titans have somehow been a team that’s provided a decent amount of fantasy production throughout the first two weeks of the season, however it’s funneled through two players; Derrick Henry and Delanie WalkerHenry has picked up right where he left off after his conclusion to the 2018 season, recording at least 15 carries in each game so far on top of 3 total touchdowns. He’s averaged a shade under 5 yards per carry and comes into a decent spot against the Jaguars and their 17th ranked run blocking defense. Only 2 players on the Jags front 7 have PFF grades north of 70, making this a matchup that warrants some upside for Henry, especially on a showdown slate.

Walker has logged a 22.2% target share through the first two games of the season, amassing 9 catches on 12 targets for 94 yards and 2 TDs. The most exploitable part of the Jags defense is the middle of the field, as linebacker Quincy Williams PFF grade of 34.6 ranks him 76th at his position. He remains an ultra-safe option on a limited slate.

Marcus Mariota doesn’t ever possess a ton of upside given his extreme lack of volume, but he’s viable on a showdown slate given the lack of options. While Mariota is a fine option, I would avoid pairing him with his WR1 Corey Davis. He’s only recorded 8 targets through the first two games and has averaged 1.3 catches and 14.8 yards per game against the Jaguars over his last 4 games against them.

Cash Plays: Henry (showdown), Walker

GPP Plays: Mariota, Henry (TH-M)

Jacksonville Jaguars

Gardner Minshew was less flashy in his debut start compared to when he walked off of the plane but was able to record a turnover free game en route to a 213-yard, 1-TD performance against a tough Houston defense. He’s demonstrated immediate chemistry with D.J. Chark through their first two games together, as Chark has paced the team with a 20.0% target share, 2 TDs (leads team) and 85.71% completion rate (leads team). He led the team in targets in week 2 (9) and was used primarily as a short-yardage option (6.11 yards per target). A safety blanket with upside like this is a great play on a single-game slate.

He’s also shown trust in WR Chris Conley, who’s recorded the 2nd most receptions (10) on the team. He’s been the big-play threat with the 2nd highest aDOT on the team (13). The Titans are 2nd in the league in pass DVOA, so I would negate a bit of the upside, but you could find worse plays on a showdown slate.

Leonard Fournette reverted back to his inefficient self in week 2, averaging 3.13 yards per carry on 15 attempts, but his involvement in the passing game continues to be a massive bright spot, as he’s amassed 12 targets through his first 2 games with 68 receiving yards. He’s tied for 3rd on the team in target share and if he can keep this up, he’ll have a much more stable floor, especially in a competitive game like this.

Cash Plays: Fournette, Chark (showdown)

GPP Plays: Chark (TH-M), Conley (Showdown)
