NFL DFS game by game breakdown: Week 3
By Joe Metz
NFL DFS: Miami Dolphins @ Dallas Cowboys
Miami Dolphins
As hard as I continue to try, I cannot and will not find any reason to recommend playing a single player on the Dolphins, even in a hedge stack. The entire team is disengaged and disjointed and offers absolutely no fantasy value. Move along.

Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are always a viable offense to target, but it only gets better in the easiest matchup of the week. Dak Prescott has been the #2 overall quarterback in terms of fantasy production through the first two weeks, trailing only Lamar Jackson. While Michael Gallup will be absent for the foreseeable future, he’s locked in with Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb, Ezekiel Elliot and the week-2 surprise player Devin Smith.
Cooper ranks 2nd on the team in target share (20.9%) but should see an uptick with the target-leader Gallup out indefinitely. Smith is a value play to keep your eyes on, as he leads the team in aDOT (18.7 yards) through the first two weeks, albeit on only 3 catches. If he sees an uptick in targets/snaps with Gallup out, he has the potential to smash in tournaments at his price.
Randall Cobb is a good bet to see a lot of the volume left behind from Gallup in the intermittent areas of the field, as he’s known to be a possession receiver throughout his career and also comes at a reasonable price.
While all of the receivers are viable in some form or another, it’s hard to not peg Ezekiel Elliott as the top overall play on the slate. After seeing only 54% of the snaps in week 1 while being eased in, he saw 76% of the snaps in week 2 while commanding 85.2% of the rushing attempts. He looks to be all systems go and in a game with such a positive environment for a running back, he could easily top the slate in scoring.
