A new episode of Fastbreak Breakfast celebrates Marc Gasol and is confused why anyone wouldn’t be happy for him.

There is a certain segment of Grizzlies fans who aren’t pleased Marc Gasol went on to greener pastures, winning an NBA championship with the Raptors and a FIBA World Cup with Spain. Laying the blame for the underwhelming final seasons of Grit ‘n’ Grind, these critics often describe Gasol as moody. His sometimes passive offensive style was perceived as a lack of effort.

No one is disputing Big Spain passes up an open shot too often, or may have gotten his hands a little messy in the dismissal of David Fizdale and perhaps threw a teammate under the bus every now in then. But at Fastbreak Breakfast our official stance is to be appreciative of the hard work he gave Memphis that resulted in every postseason win in franchise history.

And so to all the haters we say:

How do you like them apples?

So on a new episode of Fastbreak Breakfast we celebrate Gasol’s double championship, plus address the following topics:

  • What is the collateral damage of Joe Johnson trail blazing from The Big 3 back into the NBA?
  • Should a morally-dubious potential new sponsor for the Miami Heat’s arena be approved?
  • Could the Raptors and Celtics make a mutually beneficial blockbuster deal with each other?
  • What is the story behind the longest time you’ve ever stayed awake?

Fastbreak Breakfast is a podcast for serious NBA fans that is incredibly not serious. All episodes are available on Apple Podcasts and Soundcloud or any other major podcast service.
