NFL DFS Week 3: Cash game breakdown
NFL DFS Week 3: Cash game breakdown
Matt Breida – FD $5900 DK $5400
Ok anyone who played Breida last week in DFS probably tilted pretty hard because he kept getting vultured around the goal line despite doing all the work to get them there. It’s annoying but at his price you don’t HAVE to have him fall into the end zone to get value.
He’s incredibly talented and he’s in a Shanahan offense which is notorious for making running backs valuable. If you find yourself wanting to be contrarian or are struggling to get enough value at other positions (hint: you shouldn’t), go here because his price should have come up on both sites.
Austin Ekeler – FD $7600 DK $7200
Wow. I mean I knew Ekeler would be good but I had no idea he was going to be this good. He’s making Melvin Gordon look REALLY really stupid. The Houston defense is no joke but Ekeler is so involved in the passing game he should be fine in DFS cash games this week.
I prefer him on DraftKings this week, especially at this price and with the full point per reception but you could argue for him to see ownership on FanDuel as well. He is currently projected to be the third highest owned running back in DFS on DraftKings so squeeze him in if you can.
Chris Carson – FD $7000 DK $5900
This is another play that’s probably nicer on DK but reasonable on FD for DFS this week if you wanted it. The Saints have been kind of disappointing on defense and with Drew Brees going out, I can’t imagine that situation getting any better.
A good offense is important to a defense as it helps get them rest and keep them off the field. If the Saints can’t convert their third downs with a backup quarterback, their defense could be out there a lot.
Carson has proven himself to be a bell cow getting the ball quite a bit in positive game scripts but he’s also catching passes which, again, is beneficial everywhere but especially on DraftKings.
