The Buffalo Bills honored one of their greatest fans in the late Pancho Billa ahead of their Week 3 game versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
It’s a good time to be a Buffalo Bills fan. The Bills are 2-0 after beating both the New York Jets and the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium to begin the 2019 NFL campaign. This team has a strong defense and seems to have the right starting quarterback in second-year pro Josh Allen. So there is plenty for Bills Mafia to be excited about for their home opener in Week 3.
Buffalo hosted the 0-2 Cincinnati Bengals for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff at New Era Field in Orchard Park, New York. However, they were without one of their greatest fans in the late Pancho Billa, who passed away since last season.
Fortunately for the Bills, Billa’s son Gino was seen dressed up just like his late father for another exciting game of Bills action. Buffalo by all the points in the world over the hapless Bengals on Sunday afternoon. A 3-0 start would be fantastic for this Buffalo franchise to begin the year.

With the AFC being incredibly top-heavy with teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots with serious Super Bowl aspirations, look for competitive teams like the Bills to take advantage and contend for a playoff berth.
Buffalo did make the postseason for the first time this century two years ago under head coach Sean McDermott. However, the Bills only managed three points in their AFC Wild Card game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars in January 2018. Moving on from Tyrod Taylor at quarterback in favor of taking Allen in the top 10 out of Wyoming seems to be working out so far.
Bills Mafia is one of the most passionate fanbases in the world. The Bills are the biggest ticket in town in Western New York. While the winning has not been there for much of this century, this fanbase continues to support its most beloved franchise every single fall Sunday without fail.

Though losing Pancho Billa within the last year is tough, as he was one of the most recognizable Bills fans there was, it’s great to see the Buffalo franchise allow his son to carry on the traditions of his father in support of their favorite team. This is the kind of stuff that makes being a fan of any team so compelling. Look for the Bills to play hard in honor of Pancho Billa this afternoon.
