The Resident returns with the season 3 premiere, “From the Ashes.” Here’s what you need to know to watch it on TV and online.
Times are changing at Chastain Memorial. The season 3 premiere of The Resident sees the hospital under a new administration as Nic watches her sister and father fight for their lives.
“From the Ashes” follows Bell’s decision to turn Chastain over to Red Rock Mountain Medical. The hospital has been operating in the red for a while and though Conrad’s father was able to pull it back from the brink, the fact remains that it was still close enough to the brink to be a problem. One lawsuit or disaster could have been devastating, so handing over the keys made sense.
However, the takeover could cause more problems than anyone imagined as everyone adjusts to the new rules. Given that everyone knew how to work under Chastain’s old system, what will happen under Red Rock?
Nic is still dealing with the fallout from Jessie’s kidney transplant. Her father, Kyle, finally agreed to donate to his daughter, but there was a complication and that’s where the season 2 finale left off. Fans will finally see what happened in those tense moments, and it could change Nic’s life forever.
Here’s the episode description for “From the Ashes”:
"The doctors of Chastain are surrounded by new rules and doctors, as Red Rock Mountain Medical takes over the hospital; Conrad finds himself in a dangerous situation when the construction for a new neurosurgery center causes a gas explosion."
