The best bets in college football Week 5 feature a litany of highly ranked teams taking on in-conference opponents that they should dominate.

College football was loaded one week ago in terms of the high-end matchups that were on display. With three matchups that pitted top-20 teams against one another, it was a highly anticipated week of action for fans. And though Michigan and Wisconsin didn’t deliver a great game, the rest of the slate delivered in a big way, particularly with Notre Dame and Georgia going to war in the evening slate.

Week 5 of the 2019 college football season doesn’t hold the same type of clout in terms of ranked matchups. There are two games that feature ranked opponents going head-to-head with Virginia visiting Notre Dame and USC taking on Washington. However, what you can bet on is some hotly contested games as conference play starts to kick into gear.

On Friday and Saturday, 15 ranked teams will be playing in-conference opponents in Week 5. Even if the two teams don’t appear to be evenly matched, this is a huge proving ground for a number of teams. This is when moxie and intestinal fortitude start to be put to the test. It’s also when you can identify the obvious conference mismatches and take advantage of the best bets of the week.

It’s relatively typical when it comes to conference matchups, especially ones relatively early in the conference slate, to have somewhat skewed odds. Because many teams haven’t been tested yet, they may be overestimated coming into particular matchups. As such, you have the ability to cash in on that by taking the best bets available.

Thus, looking at the slate of Week 5 college football games, these are the five best bets for you to take advantage of. We start with two Friday games before getting into the Saturday slate of action where you can win some easy money.
