DraftKings college football showdown picks September 26

This week’s Thursday DraftKings college football showdown features two strong rushing offenses. Memphis is missing senior leader Patrick Taylor, who went down in the opener against Ole Miss. Memphis has gotten by with a running back tandem that has proven to be solid.

More from DraftKings

This game is going to be dominated by running games and defense. Memphis has one of the best run defenses in FBS. Navy isn’t far behind. This is not going to be a high-flying game like last week. This is going to be very grounded in comparison.

Last week I took a chance on Patrick Carr as my captain. Carr had a decent game but didn’t find the end zone. Huge games by King, McMillian, and Marquez Stevenson had me in a hole I could never get out of, even though I had all three as flex plays. That 1.5x value on their big nights meant I couldn’t catch up.

That doesn’t mean the logic was all bad. Tulane’s run defense was as advertised. Let’s see if there’s a cheap captain to build around tonight with better results

The one notable difference in the DraftKings college football showdown tournament is that you cannot choose a defense. I’ll tell you that this is for obvious reasons. Defense is not a college level course for most schools. Don’t fret though! It just opens more offensive options.

I expect this game to be on the lower end of the scoring spectrum, so it is especially important to get the key pieces of each offense for this DraftKings college football showdown matchup. That’s hard to do right? Especially when you can’t punt with a defense. Not necessarily. There are some sneaky plays in here that can open everything up. Let’s dig in to another interesting DraftKings college football showdown!
