NFL DraftKings: Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes $7,500

Mahomes just scored over 30 points for the third consecutive game to start the season. DraftKings responded by dropping his price $100. His ownership in the DraftKings Millionaire tournament will almost certainly increase from the 8.37% he carried last week, but it won’t be as high as it should be. He is simultaneously the safest and the highest upside player in the entire player pool. Just in case you need more convincing, let me leave you with this statistic.

Matthew Stafford $5,500

What do we make of the Chiefs defense? After getting diced up by the Jaguars passing attack in week 1, they showed a lot of improvement and stymied both the Raiders and Ravens passing attacks. One thing is for sure though, and that is, the Lions are going to have to hang a lot of points to stay with the Chiefs, and Stafford should be closer to the 45 passing attempts we saw in week 1 as opposed to the games of 30 and 32 attempts we saw the last two weeks. With that kind of volume and a very underrated stable of weapons, expect Stafford to be a nice value at only $5,500.
