3. Buffalo Bills

Unlike the other teams on this list, Buffalo doesn’t need a victory to salvage its season. The Bills are doing just fine right now, racing to a 3-0 start by taking advantage of an incredibly weak schedule to start the season.

Buffalo was on its way to losing its opener against the Jets, but New York choked the game away and handed it back to the Bills. Wins over the Giants and Bengals have brought the Bills to 3-0 on the season, but many view them as a paper tiger since they haven’t beaten anyone of note.

Buffalo is set to take a step up in weight class this week when they host the New England Patriots. The Pats are also 3-0 and have dominated their opposition, but they are vulnerable in this game due to injuries.

New England has issues along the offensive line, with the unit down two starters, and that could be an issue against Buffalo’s strong defense. Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman also left last week’s contest with injuries, so even if they play they could be banged up.

This provides a tremendous opportunity for the Buffalo Bills to make a statement they are for real by toppling the mighty Patriots at New Era Field. Bills Mafia should be a huge asset in this game, so Buffalo would be well advised to circle the wagons and pick up a huge victory that would put them in sole possession of first place in the AFC East.
