Notre Dame vs. Virginia prediction, odds: How to bet and watch online
By Ethan Lee
Notre Dame is seeking some redemption after falling on the road against Georgia. Beating up on the Virginia Cavaliers might just do the trick for the Fighting Irish.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish may not have done anything to help out their reputation in big games when they lost against the Georgia Bulldogs, but Brian Kelly’s team legitimately looked pretty good in that game. That doesn’t help Notre Dame make its way into the playoffs, the Fighting Irish are functionally eliminated this season, but it should give fans hope for how the rest of the regular season will play out.
The Fighting Irish went toe-to-toe against one of the best teams in the country before ultimately falling to the Bulldogs, but double-digit wins and a great bowl trip are still very obtainable objectives for the Irish this year. And to get back on track, Notre Dame needs to win big against the Virginia Cavaliers.
Virginia is undefeated and ranked, but that doesn’t mean the Cavaliers have appeared to be all that great this year. UVA squeaked past Florida State and Old Dominion in back-to-back weeks and the Cavaliers certainly looked vulnerable in both games. This ranked, road matchup against the Fighting Irish should be an even tougher task.
That is assuming that the Fighting Irish aren’t going to sleepwalk their way through this game after losing to UGA.

Prediction
If Notre Dame is engaged and ready to play in this game, the Fighting Irish should be able to build an insurmountable lead and coast to the finish line. Virginia’s offense has been inconsistent this year and the Cavaliers will likely have a hard time slowing down Ian Book. The Fighting Irish can’t afford to dwell on their defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs. Virginia has some potential to cause trouble if the Fighting Irish let the Cavaliers stay in the game.
Score: Notre Dame 37, Virginia 14
