With yet another incredible transfer quarterback, the Oklahoma Sooners look to mow through the Big 12 yet again. The first team standing in their way of another conference championship is Texas Tech.

It’s hard to describe just how remarkable this run of dominance over the rest of the Big 12 Oklahoma has going for it is. The Sooners, with another transfer quarterback, are armed and prepared to make another run through the conference and claim the Big 12 title yet again. And Jalen Hurts might just have a real shot at being the third OU quarterback in three years to win the Heisman if he continues to play like he has to start the year.

It really isn’t fair that a struggling, rebuilding team like Texas Tech who is lose-to-a-dysfunctional-Arizona-team type of bad has to face this sort of behemoth. But, well, here we are. Good luck, Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are fresh off of a bye week, but that week off won’t make anyone forget thatĀ loss to Kevin Sumlin’s Arizona Wildcats.

And Arizona really isn’t any good this year.

So how does Texas Tech keep up with the Sooners? Good question. Can the Red Raiders slowĀ Hurts down? Probably not. Will Oklahoma blow this game open early on just like they did against UCLA? More than likely.

Prediction

While Hurts was a good quarterback at Alabama, Lincoln Riley has maximized his talents and potential. Riley has done this before with Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, but to do it a third time is remarkable. Sure, it helps to have talented quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs, but Riley’s reputation for elevating the ceiling of offensive players is only growing stronger as Hurts hurls more touchdown passes each and every week.

The transfer quarterback has completed 80.3 percent of his passes for 880 yards and nine touchdowns. He has just 12 incompletions on the season and has yet to throw a pick. Oh, and he’s leading the Sooners in rushing yards (373) and rushing touchdowns (four). Expect this game to get ugly as Hurst continues to show why he should be this year’s Heisman winner.

Score: Oklahoma 56, Texas Tech 17
