The Houston Texans spent ample draft capital on their offensive line, but poor coaching and a bad return on investment is crushing Deshaun Watson.

We’ve hit the quarter pole of the NFL season. The quarterback play across the league is a mixture of sublime and atrocious, with a leaning toward the latter. Hopefully, things pick up as the rust is completely knocked off.

Here’s how we stand after September, with an eye towards October.

Tim Rattay Division

32. Dwayne Haskins (LW: NA)

The Redskins are a mess. Haskins is forced into the middle of a game after Case Keenum got all the practice reps this week. Shockingly, the rookie threw three picks and generally looked horrible. Oh, and he gets his first start this Sunday… against the Patriots.

31. Luke Falk (LW: 31)

Falk is holding down the job until Sam Darnold returns from mono. Nothing to really say about the youngster other than he’s a typical low-end backup. Not much upside.

30. Josh Rosen (LW: 32)

Nobody in recent memory has been put in a worse situation to begin his career. Two awful teams, three different offensive coordinators, etc. If Rosen ever becomes a legitimate starter in the NFL, full marks to him.

29. Chase Daniel (LW: NA)

The Bears lost Mitch Trubisky on the third play from scrimmage on Sunday. Daniel came in and the gameplan didn’t change at all. Not sure if that says more about Daniel or Trubisky.
