Week 5 Fantasy Football: Five bounce back players

Adam Thielen – This will be one of my favorite overall players on this upcoming slate. Thielen has actually had a really down year, along with the entire passing offense of the Vikings. He has yet to reach double-digit targets in any game, or exceed 100 yards. He does have two touchdowns, but overall the volume has not been the same for the young receiver. A match-up with the terrible secondary of the Giants is just what he needs to turn it around. They give up the second-most fantasy points to the wide receiver position, ranked 31st in the league with a 57.4% DVOA against the pass.

He should see a decent bit Janoris Jenkins who has been one of the worst so called top corners in the league. He won’t be matched up with Jenkins the entire game since he lines up in the slot sometimes, but either way, that entire secondary is downright atrocious. The pace of this game should be pretty solid as well, and the Giants offense has been significantly better since Jones has taken over at quarterback. I would expect a fairly close game, so Adam is in a position where he should reach double digit targets for the first time. In the very worst-case scenario, I would expect at least a touchdown, and 50 yards, which would be a big improvement over his recent games.
