1. Oklahoma (-32.5) at Kansas

Few things early on in the 2019 college football season have been as impressive as Jalen Hurts at the helm of Lincoln Riley’s offense for the Oklahoma Sooners. The graduate transfer quarterback is the leading Heisman Trophy candidate after five weeks and for good reason. No matter who they’ve been up against, the opposition has offered little to no resistance to this high-powered offense.

Oklahoma is moving the ball at will right now. Through four games, they’re averaging 55.5 points and 668.5 total yards per game, which would qualify as video-game type numbers. Granted, the Sooners haven’t yet faced a good defense on the season but the simple truth is that they won’t be facing one on Saturday as they travel to Lawrence to face the Kansas Jayhawks either.

In the past two weeks, Les Miles’ Kansas team has given up 29 points to a suspect West Virginia offense and then got blown out by TCU while allowing the Horned Frogs to hang 51 points on them. When you couple that with an offense that is averaging only 23.4 points per game, despite playing teams like Indiana State and Coastal Carolina early in the year, this team isn’t going to be able to keep up with the Sooners.

Yes, the spread for this game is quite high but I’m not sure you could make it high enough. Outside of the opener against Houston, the Sooners have won every game by at least 32 points and you could make the argument that UCLA and Texas Tech are on par with Kansas. As such, Oklahoma should cruise to victory and pay off on one of the best bets of Week 6.
