Fantasy Football picks: Week 5 TNF Rams vs. Seahawks

Game theory is something that I have had to really work on going into this season, and it really takes your game to the next level once you start to get the hang of it. With single-game slates, game theory is a little bit different due to the 1.5x MVP point slot. Usually, this spot is used for the most popular play on the slate, which is normally a quarterback. However, I will tell you a little secret, very rarely do chalk MVP quarterbacks win you a single game tourney.

As always game theory is very important, and I am leaning towards playing slightly more Rams, but that is mainly because of the overall talent on that team compared to the Seahawks. For the MVP, I will be looking at playing Goff in cash games. That is the most obvious approach and it will be popular. Wilson will have plenty of ownership himself, but I just can’t convince myself to play a guy in that spot who does not have a consistent volume. We want a player who will have a high workload, upside, and still a decent floor.

Cooper Kupp is another great pivot for the bonus, with his massive target share, snap count, and production he is one of the highest upside plays on the slate. Carson will be the last player I will mention. Penny returning hurts his overall outlook slightly, but we are not sure how much he will even play in this game. My prediction would be five carries, especially with Carson looking better in his last game.
