Valencia face Ajax at Mestalla Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

After winning their first games of the Champions League group stage, Valencia and Ajax battle for first place in Group H at Mestalla Stadium. Valencia upset Chelsea, winning 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in their first game, while Ajax made easy work of Lille, winning 3-0.

Valencia have got off to a very rough start in La Liga. The Bats have only won two of their first seven games. After settling for 16 draws last season, Valencia already have three draws. In the six-game group stage, a draw could be the difference between going through or being eliminated. The Bats’ biggest issue this season has been keeping the ball out of their net. Valencia have been outscored in their La Liga games. If Valencia do not fix their defensive liabilities, Ajax’s explosive attack could put a few balls behind former Ajax keeper Jasper Cillessen.

Ajax are unbeaten in all competitions this season and will look to continue that streak in Spain. The Dutch club look like they will again be in another title race with PSV Eindhoven that will last until the final weekends of the season. Like all great Ajax teams of the past, Erik ten Hag’s team scores goals in bunches. Five different players have scored at least four goals. Dusan Tadic looked like an average Premier League player while he was with Southampton. Since joining Ajax last year, Tadic has been incredible. This season, Tadic has scored eight goals and added eight assists in all competitions. The Serbian winger will be key to Ajax’s attack on Wednesday.
