Early DraftKings college football picks October 5: Stop! Hamler time!

DraftKings picked a solid 11 games for the early DraftKings college football slate on Saturday. LSU and Oklahoma’s high- powered offenses take on a couple of porous defenses. Oklahoma State takes on a below average Texas Tech team.

More from DraftKings

For the undercard we have a possibly explosive Minnesota team against Illinois. We have two defensive showdowns in Auburn-Florida and Michigan-Iowa. Oh, and Texas takes on a struggling West Virginia team. There are so many ways to go with this one!

The early Saturday DraftKings college football slate went well for me despite being a week early on Devonta Smith. I had all of him in week 4 and none last week. I still hit with Oklahoma stacks, Wake stacks, and Re’Mahn Davis one-offs.

The scoring for DraftKings college football is much the same as it is for the NFL with one notable exception: the super flex! That means aside from the flex position which is RB/WR, you can add another player from any position! Want four running backs? Go right ahead! Five wide receivers? Sure! Two quarterbacks? Of course! Just stay under the salary cap!

The super flex replaces the defense, which is essential in college football. This is all about the offense. DraftKings college football scoring realizes that!
